July was the one year anniversary of adopting our dog Levi. Levi is a pound puppy we adopted from the Sacramento SPCA on July 22, 2009. He was only 10 months old when we got him and had already spent one month at the Sac City shelter before we found him. After a bit of an adjustment period for everyone, Levi fit right in. He is such an important part of our family and I can't imagine life without him.
After a lifetime of having childhood pets, Levi is my first pet as an adult. I, along with my boyfriend, am responsible for all of the walks, all of the feedings, trips to the vets and everything in between. I could not love being a dog parent more.
